Easy Trousers / Shorts Sewing Course - Upcycling Workshops
Time & Location
About the Event
At Trashion Factory we teach you how to upcycle and sew old materials into new fabulous wardrobe staples. In this course we will make a trouser pattern that fits you perfectly and you get to take it home, so you can reuse it over and over again. Then we take old denim jeans (You are welcome to bring other old clothes you have at home, dresses for example are a great) and you learn how to take them apart and then remake them into a pair of shorts or a trouser for you. You will learn how to patchwork, the most important technique when you upcycle.
The workshop is 4 consecutive Thursday mornings from 9.30 - 12.30:
Session 1 - 3.6.2021: You learn how to adjust a pattern to your size
Session 2 - 10.6.2021: You learn how to deconstruct clothes and patchwork
Session 3 - 17.6.2021: You learn how to sew a trouser
Session 4 - 24.6.2021: Finishing your shorts or trousers
The workshop is limited to 5 people: You will be in a group with 5 other women and Olivia Weber the tutor.
This workshop is funded by Foundation for Future London and Trashion Factory.
